"Your Song" written by the duo Elton John / Bernie Taupin, was first released in 1970 on Elton Johns second studio album.
It has become one of his most popular songs, and was ranked as number 137 on Rolling Stone´s list of "The 500 greatest Songs of All Time".
The song is also inducted into “The Grammy Hall of Fame”.
JOHN PHILIP HANNEVIK
John Philip Hannevik was born in Tromsø, Norway, in January 1970.He holds a Master degree in Musicology, and has a Bachelor degree in social work.
Philip has been working as a full time musician throughout much of his adult life, among other things as a musical advisor for the Salvation Army. He has conducted all possible types of ensembles, he has written music for classical artists, brass bands, pop- and contemporary singers/ bands, and for TV. He is a prize-winner from EBBAs International Conductors Competition. As a musician he has toured Africa, North- and South America, visited approximately 15 countries in Europe, and has conducted ensembles in many of the finest Concert Halls and studios in Scandinavia. He has worked with several of the top conductors, soloists and bands within the band movement. He has also participated as a musician or arranger on several platinum-awarded CD's. He has even written a full brass arrangement for a contemporary singer – the song held the no 1 spot on the charts of Norways biggest National Radio station for 9 weeks.

”Young Band” series from Norsk Noteservice can be played at any age, but have a smaller instrumentation than what is known as ”Concert Band” and “Symphonic Band”.
Characteristics for this series are:
• Simple structures that makes it playable for most bands.
• Range and technical difficulties are limited
• Parts that mostly are cross-cued and can be left out is: Bassoon, Oboe, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone 2, Baritone Saxophone, Horn, Trombone 2, Mallet percussion, and Percussion 3.
• Most solos are cross-cued.
• The difficulties varies from grade 2 to 3.
