GILL BAY

«Gill Bay» is a brand new composition by Jan Utbult.
The title of the piece is inspired by the beach «Hjälvik» on Oak Island (just outside Gothenburg, Sweden) where the composer lives.
«Gill Bay» is a slow jazzwalz in 3/4-time.
With it’s simple melody and polyphonic parts this piece is shure to be a hit both for the players and audience.



JAN UTBULT

Jan Utbult are one of Scandinavia's most established authors of music tutor books. "Startklart", "Blåsbus", "Blåståget", "Blåsbanken", "Pianobus" and "Gitarrbus" are his most popular publications, used by students all over Scandinavia.
He is educated at the Academy of Music in Gothenburg with trombone and music theory as main subjects. For several years he worked as teacher at the Härnösand School og Music.
Since 1998, Jan Utbult has worked full time as author of music tutor books. Several of his most popular books are published in German and English language in addition to his native Swedish.
